A lot happens at your front door

The subject of my project is surveillance. By focusing on breaking down the footage taken by the Ring Doorbell camera on my front door into small, still images, I am cataloguing the everyday encounters which occur outside my house. Ring Doorbell uploads the footage to a cloud database and the app on my phone is used to download the videos which I then re-assemble into mini-narratives and sequences. The panopticon at the entrance to my home makes activities such as dogwalking or receipt of deliveries from the outside, alternatively absurd or unsettling.
